Feeling Stuck? (aka A Goddess Guide to Getting UNstuck)

by on April 16, 2012

Darling heart, if you’re feeling stuck, I soooo understand!

I’ve feeling stuck for months and months now, unable to decide which way to go, whether to follow this path or that, or to just swing my goddess wand and strike out on my own.

Here’s what’s changed … and how I’ve changed it.

PS The rest of this post is the transcript of the video ~ so if you prefer to READ rather than watch/listen, you’ve got all the lusciousness in written form too.

Oh and I’ve put in all the links to the goodies/tools/people I mention in the video.

PPS do add your energy and wisdom to the conversation by commenting below.
And invite other delicious being to join in by sharing it on Facebook or Twitter.

I’d be ever so grateful!

Greetings, gorgeous one!

I am the goddess known as Jacqui Gates and it’s been absolutely ages (and waaaay too long) since I’ve made you a video.

All I can say is, sweetpea, you’ve been on my mind, but I’ve been so immersed in my own journey that there really hasn’t been anything to share that … how do I put this? … firstly wouldn’t be horribly ‘too much information’ and secondly, would actually help you.

I’ve been on a journey … really, really, it’s been something else.

You know, Mercury’s been in retrograde, so I blame him/her/it for this … not being able to communicate really well, and feeling horribly stuck and like I’m pushing against a wall. I know there’s all sorts of bliss and abundance just on the other side of that wall, but no matter how hard I chiseled at it, I just couldn’t seem to break through.

But of course, I know that with the Law of Attraction, what you focus on you get more of, so by focusing on the stuckness, I was obviously just going to get more of the stuckness.

(But knowing something academically and really knowing  it so that it’s part of your hard-wiring, well, that takes a little time to sink in)

Well, that revelation came about two weeks ago, and since then I’ve been focusing on the bliss and abundance, on the joy of clarity, on being able to ‘see’ the direction I need to go in. It’s been so interesting that in the course of my day to day communication, there’s been so many goddesses who’ve been feeling the same way.

But there’s a bubbling feeling of release coming. Mercury is beginning to move again, and it’s a planetary thing.  Everybody’s feeling it.

To try to clear this stuck-ness, I’ve been exploring so many paths (like this one, and this one) and each has given me a glimpse, and it really feels like things are starting to combine, to mesh, into a vision that I can own, that is intrinsically mine. Something I can own, move into, LIVE.

I’m about to turn the big 5-0 next yeat (gulp), and I just know that by the time I do, my life will be very different to what it is now. The frustrating thing is that I didn’t know … I haven’t known … what direction I should head in to make that happen.

And what I realized is that it’s not so much the making it happen as it is allowing it to unfold.

So dahling, sometimes, when you’re urgently trying to get somewhere, when you’re driving, pushing to create your vision … sometimes that energy is best served by just … allowing.

By letting the Universe give you prompts.

We can push so hard in one direction, thinking that that’s what we need to do to make something happen,  that we don’t see the other direction that would allow us to flow, and create that same vision quicker, faster, easier.

Sweetpea, I just want you to know that if you’ve been feeling stuck, if you’ve been feeling directionless, if you feel like you keep pushing against the same brick wall and nothing’s been going quite like you want it to ..

Or maybe like me, you haven’t been pushing at all but rather sitting and waiting for some kind of sign, some kind of indication as to what direction to go. I really been at a crossroads, but I realized that unless I take some kind of step, I’m going to be at a crossroad all my life, and I know that that’s not going to work.

So what I wanted to tell you is ….

(I know, duh, right?)

Focusing on how you want to feel, how you want to feel when you get to wherever it is that you’re going, how you want to BE ~ that’s what you focus on.

Because you need to start BEING now!

I’ve done a lot of inner work to get to this point, and I don’t really think anyone can short-change the innerwork.

You have to listen to your inner voice. You have to give it precedence over any kind of outside influence however well-meaning that influence might be.

For instance, if you’ve invested money to be in a certain company, but there’s still that resistance to doing what the company tells you, you need to go within to find out what that is.

Don’t blame the economy (for your lack of results), it’s always within.

What you think about most, what you focus on, is what your reality will be. In face, your current reality (mine too) is just a reflection of past thoughts.

I’ve been studying a lot about the Law of Attraction.

I’ve been studying myself to find out why I think the way I do.
But not focusing on the past because there really isn’t any point in that. The past is gone, so it’s really just a reference so I can see my patterns and what not to focus on.

Abraham talks about that when they say that the past only serves you to give you contrast.

Contrast helps you to identify desire. Desire is summoning. It’s always flowing through you. You have the opportunity of opening to the harmony of the vibration of your desire or not. As the desires are being summoned through you, and you go with the flow, you thrive, but if you use things to be your excuse for not going with the flow, you are arguing for your limitations. We want to show you how to go with the flow. Which means nothing more than finding vibrational harmony with your own desire, and letting the Universal Energy that your desire is summoning to it flow to it through you. It is optimum creative experience.
– Abraham-Hicks

In other words, you look at what you don’t want,
so you know what you DO want.

That’s really where I’ve been.
I don’t think you need to rehash the past, or scrape open old wounds. You just need to acknowledge that they’re there, and that they don’t need to affect right now.

Because your only moment of power is right now. In the present moment.

As Eckhart Tolle says in his book, The Power of Now, your only power is in the NOW.

And really, if you’re living in the past … you live in regret.
And if you live in the future … you live in anxiety.
The only place for peace … is right now.

And doing what draws you, doing what makes your heart sing, doing what feels right …
whether, like me, it’s been following a nudge to listen to a certain webinar,
following a nudge that says “you should read that book”,
or something in a movie that says, “start juicing”.

I’ve done more than 30 days of juicing now ~
well, not completely ~ about 80% of my meals/nutrition is from green juice ~
and it’s been life-changing.

And as you practice following internal nudges, internal twinges,
inner voices that say do this or do that,
as you follow those voices, they get louder. They get more confident and sure.

And it’s your job, really, to follow your heart.

There is only one of you, angel.

There is only one of you here on this planet, and there only ever will be.

In the movie ‘Hugo’, he (the lead character) talks about seeing the world as giant clockwork piece.
Every movement, every gear is precisely orchestrated and absolutely necessary.

I thought that was such a delicious vision of the world.

Neither am I.

(Neither is that horrible person that cuts you off in the middle of traffic!)

We’re all here for a reason.
We’re all here to play a pivotal part, and to add to the energy and growth of this planet.

But until you listen to your inner guidance,
you might not find out what your part is.

So sweetheart, give yourself 10 minutes,
give yourself 5 minutes,
give yourself a moment  of word-less-ness.

Give yourself that moment to go within and say,
“What should I do now?”
“What’s right for me?”
“What would I feel good about doing?”

When you answer those questions, Miracles Happen.
Life unfolds before you in amazing and interesting ways.

And sweetheart, more than anything,
that’s what I wish for you.

*soft smile* – there’s a variation on your questions above (maybe you could describe it as a combination of all three) that I really, truly love, which runs “What would feel the absolute best for me to do right in this moment?”

Every time I remember to slow down enough to ask myself that – and then actually LISTEN to the answer I give myself – it turns out to be the right answer.

So really? I should probably ask myself it more often! Beautiful post, Jacqui, and I’m glad you’re feeling a little less stuck now!

Giving ourselves that moment to ASK, and then LISTEN … that’s a gift that is beyond value.

Love that you visited, Tanja *hugs*

This is such a well-written post Jacqueline, thank you for writing it! Here’s what I do and advise clients to do when they feel they are not making any headway;

“Ok universe I don’t feel things are going so well. So if you really want me to have/do/be X in a mundane sense, in a way that supports my soul self, I’m giving this three New Moons. If in three full lunar months I don’t have more X coming in or X isn’t working out for me I’m closing this request for good.” –> Stay calmly observant of what happens.

Stella, I love that ‘demand’ of the Universe, although I have to admit that I’ve never actually put a time frame on a request. Definitely feels good though, so I’ll give it a try.

I think staying ‘calmly observant’ might be easier said than done though!

What a journey you have been on Jacqui! It is so important to listen to that inner wisdom and not let it be drowned out by those inner critics. I can really relate to what you are sating, I have been allowing myself more to just go with the flow, and if that means that I don’t post for a week or 2 then so be it, my life is bigger than that. It’s wonderful that you listened to your need to go inward at this time.

“My life is bigger than that” … so true, Petrea. Would that we all remember that when we have the urge to play small.

Mercury yes… but it’s also that time of year. Most people feel stuck or even a little depressed after the winter. When the first ray of light hits you, it’s uncomfortable and you’re dazzled, but it’s actually a new beginning! So good luck to all of us and may this be our best year ever!

Jacqueline Gates May 1, 2012 at 2:07 pm

I second that, goddess!

Pete Goumas April 25, 2012 at 7:40 am

Hi Jacqueline,
It’s an awesome post and you have shared a beautiful message in this post. I also believe in Law of attraction and it depends on us how or on what we focus and as you said if we focus on stuckness then we obviously going to get more of it.
We should give ourselves few minutes to ask questions and yes after that Miracles happens and life open several beautiful ways for our success.

I have to learn how to always focus on positive things, on my goals and aspirations. I tend to always think of things that make me upset. Well, perhaps that’s why I feel so stuck. I hope I can do it.

Each people all have own pursuit, the pursuit of different things, although the process is cruel, but if there are good results, before suffering is always worth it.

Well, my comment is NOT about words of wisdom – but of experience. How can one continue to try new things or ventures, if one continuously fails at everything? I have tried different online business ventures, have invented a product, have tried this and that – but yet continue to fail! Plus, it doesn’t help when your wife reminds you, “stop it, you are not going to make it!”
I am the type if one venture/idea does not work, I try something else. But, am afraid to start something new because of my past failures. Sure positive words are easy to throw at, but harder to absorb!
You say, don’t think about the past. But, it is the past that has made me the way I am!
Whew! I feel much better now after expressing myself!
