Greetings, sweetiepie!
Usually this would be for Business goddesses only (you know, since it’s Wednesday).
But I missed Monday’s Inner Goddess Insight
because I was holed up in CT airport with no connection to ze interwebs,
(long story, ask me about it when we meet!)
So I thought I’d combine them both in an itty bitty, two minute story
that’ll calm any midweek frustrations and remind you of
just how Fahbulous you are!
Are you ready, gorgeous one?
Snuggle up and we’ll begin.
There once was a man who had a huge desire
to be a big luscious success in the world,
so he prayed day and night about it.
Until one day a Voice spoke to him,
“I want you to go and push a rock.”
The man woke up the next morning elated,
and ran outside to find a huge boulder.
He began pushing it, but nothing happened,
so he kept at it all day.
The next day he did the same,
yet it still didn’t budge an inch.
He went on like that for three months,
until one day he got so frustrated
that he stopped pushing.
That night he had a dream,
and the Voice asked him, “Why did you stop pushing?”
“Nothing happened,” he answered.
“Nothing happened?
Look at you!
Look how determined and focused you’ve become.
Look how powerful your muscles are now.
You’re no longer the person you were when you started.
Besides, I didn’t tell you to move the rock;
I told you to push it.
I’ll move the rock when it’s time.”
Keep pushing your rock, scrumptious one.
It’ll move at the right moment,
in the perfect time,
when you least expect it.
(Like in a late night conversation in a hotel room in Connecticut)
I know this building-a-business thing
while still being a mom/employee/chief-cook-and-bottlewasher
can be frustrating and tiring.
But keep pushing your rock, beloved.
Minute by minute, you are blossoming, blooming, unfolding.
And amazing things are happening,
even if you’re not noticing them yet.

Hi Jacqui,
Splendid
I luv the lesson here.
When it looks like nothing is working, Everything is working. The Universe orchestrates in the background, foreground, everywhere. We let go of the How, we stop judging according to appearances, and we remain true to our intent. The How handles itself. No need to worry. No need to check every 5 minutes to see “if you made it”, or “if you’re there yet.”
You never will completely make it, or be there yet. There’s always more to do. There is just Now, really, and all you can do Now is hold true to your dominant intent Now, and let the Universe handle the rest.
Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us!

YOU are an utter gift, sir, and I’m so grateful for the insights and love and wisdom you add. Ooodles of thanks for the visit.
Love this story my Goddess Friend!
What a great analogy of life – push the rock – build your muscles, listen to your heart and perservere by pushing the rock – the benefits of receiving will follow….
This man though well if I push hard enough I can move the rock – sometimes the rock is to be in that place without moving it – divine timing!
In gratitude,
Nancy

So often we don’t see the OTHER results from our constant action … we focus only on what we expect to see.
Like your blog, Ms Nancy.
It looks like just another blog, but in fact it’s a hub where deep and lasting friendships are formed.
Bliss-ings and hugs, girlfriend

Oh one more thing that I forgot to add – it’s called FAITH! Keep the dream and goal alive if it’s a vision that has been given to you….
When it’s time by FAITH the rock, the mountain will be moved…

Jeanine, you’re doing such an amazing job teaching women how to be fahbulously dressed on a capsule wardrobe, your ‘rock pushing’ is paying off!
Oh! I loved your story Goddess… Funny how i also was expecting the rock to move…but that was never part of what the voice told the man in the dream… So, yes something did happen as I can picture the nice tone in the man’s arm’s and body from pushing all of these months… Loved it…Thanks so much …

What great wisdom you have shared here! We only have to believe and take action. The how and when is not for us to decide. It’s not our job. I love it!!

Good story. You can really learn from anything in life. Progress takes time no matter what it is you’re trying to do, Rome wasn’t built in a day.
But I think it’s also important to stop wasting time on projects that don’t succeed and move on to something else, put your energy into things that really work.
This story is amazing! I really never saw my efforts in that way before. Now we all tend to whine and complain about wasted efforts. I realized now that as long as we seek guidance from prayer and do our best, all we need to have is a little faith that someday all our efforts will pay off. I’m so lucky to have found this post. Thanks a lot!
Yes you should have a faith in yourself.
