Hey Jacqueline,

What a great post on tagging etiquette. I dont think I have every tagged any Big Dogs……but maybe I was missing out on a trick or too.

Just so everyone knows, when I become a Big Dog or maybe a Fat Cat I wouldnt mind if I was tagged at all hehe.

Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed the debate.

I'm guilty of tagging folks in the past too, following some advice and training by a sponsor. In some cases I still think tagging can be tastefully done, but definitely should not be over used. Sometimes the lines get blurred on social etiquette, but for the most part I think most people are well intentioned. This is a great question. I have been hesitant to tag people because you do not know how they will react. As a rule I don't tag those untouchable big dogs because that is just plain selfish. What I have begun doing is only tagging those that have previously responded to one of my videos or notes. And those that have said "Yea, keep it coming!" Great debate. A lot of it does come down to personal preference. Mr Kary Rogney understands the benefits of it for everyone involved. And yes, common sense will get you far – but so will asking the Big Dogs for permission to use their virtual real-estate. Everyone loves to share posts of value, and you, my new friend, have plenty of those!

What an awesome blog you have ! Your writing style in my opinion is amazing….you really are a Goddess !!

Personally, I haven’t used this tactic in my social media networking strategy, as I have always believed that using tags with the ‘Big Dogs’ is a form of spamming, and you can severely dent your brand before you’ve even really begun.

I think use common sense, and I agree with Julianna that you should treat others with how you want to be treated.
