Hi, This is my first post here although I have enjoyed reading many of them and your sense of humour! Many thanks for this post which I found today it did make me chuckle and give me food for thought at the same time.

I have often considered what it would be like if we couldn't lie, my partner and I even had a close discussion about it when we watched the film and again when we watched the film "the invention of lying" starring Ricky Gervais.

It would be a crazy world I definitely admit, although I wonder what is worse...not being able to lie or being able to read body language and tell tale signs so effectively that you knew without a doubt every time some one lied to you! I would have to opt for the latter...Imagine that....

Anyway, back on topic....who would I ask and what....mmm not too sure but i would imagine it would be something clever! haha.

Thanks again for cheering me up today.

Goddess Belinda, that's quite the question! I'm adopted, but always knew and wouldn't have changed it.
Questions are always powerful ~ 'Am I adopted?' is HUGE!

Wow love this idea. I find it very hard to lie at the best of times especially if asked a direct questions. People find my honesty too much and I always seem to get in hot water for it, I just want to be me without people telling me that I can't be that way. So I love the idea. The first question I would ask is of my mum. Am I adopted?

Well Jackie,
Since you already have dibs on OJ, I would ask who were the assassins behind the grassy knoll that shot JFK? Was Timothy McVeigh part of a conspiracy? What were Ron Brown and Vince Foster's last thoughts? Or Marilyn Monroe's? Okay ... this could go on all day.

GREAT post, Queen Jackie! Got me on a roll ...

Wow, this is a great post! Liar Liar is one of my all-time favorite movies. It's one that you start laughing right around the beginning somewhere and literally don't stop until it's over. Then when it is over you inevitably start thinking about what it really would be like, what you would like to ask your kids, your parents, your friends.

Very thought provoking and brutally honest your post is! Thanks for the great information. I will pass it on and hopefully get others to thinking.

What a day 'Truth Day' would be. I would love just one day to get nothing but the truth. What I think it comes down to is, when we tell the truth our lives are more enriched. When we are open and honest and simply ourselves, life is happier and easier.

What a great discussion to have. I love those intriguing thought provoking discussions.

Thanks Jackie for the discussion and the humor. :)

I love it! That would be an interesting time, wouldn't it!? You always seem to take something so simple and turn it on it's side to look at it from another angle.
Thanks for your refreshing insights,
Val

Oh, it would be so fun and interesting to see The Truth Day played out, what a good idea for a Day. In the past few years, I have gotten much more truthful about myself and about many things that I express and let people know about. I do speak my mind quite a bit and some people do have a hard time with it, as I see it in their reactions and in the things that they do not say back because of fear but I am so glad that we still have the choice to tell things the best way that we see fit for the situation and sometimes that does require not telling all that you know and bending the truth a bit.

As always, introspective and humorous, how I love your posts!
Not sure where I sit on this as one who has things they'd rather leave pack in the back of the closet, although nothing too bad that would require jail time or anything! LOL
This questions is an example of the proverbial double- edged sword, pick your poison, the truth heals and destroys, each side having brought the greatest of men to their knees no doubt.
