Why You Should Keep Your Mouth Shut!

by on July 28, 2011

Today’s little love letter is going to be short.

Not because I don’t have oodles of luscious news to tell you,
or fantabulous developments waiting in the wings …

But because I DO have all those things!

AND MORE!

Oh sweetie, we’re half way through the year,
and I’m just beginning my third consecutive 90 day plan.

Can you believe it?! ME! The one who never followed through on anything!

But

  • I’ve just invested in Mark Hoverson’s new course on product creation;
  • I joined Diane Hochman in CT for another eye-opening, filled-with-marketing-wisdom event last weekend
    and managed to make a 9 hour delay at the airport really pay off;
  • and last week I spilled the beans on a secret I’ve been keeping for ages.
(but only to the luvlies on my list ~ if you’re on it, you know which one I mean.)
I’ll make it public in a day or two.. but it would be wise of you to opt-in while you’re here
so as not to miss out on the next big thing!

All this is leading up to something wonderful …
for me and for you.

But, scrumptious one, guess what?

I’m not going to tell you about it.

*wicked giggles*

(at least, not for a week or two)

Oh believe me, in times before, I sooooo would have!

I would’ve given you every last detail, and shared my excitement,
and wallowed in the delights of glories yet to come.

But I’ve learned a deeply empowering lesson recently.
And that I will share with you.

Here we go, dahling.
The reason I’m keep my mouth shut!

Soooo, isn’t this interesting?

What do you think?

Leave your thoughts below and of course, if you’d like to share this with a friend,

I’d be ever so chuffed!

Bliss-ings,

PS Don’t you just love my snazzy new signature? Yay for a wildly techie son!

Aloha - Lani July 28, 2011 at 6:16 pm

Aloha Jacqueline, nice post and awesome video clip. Gosh most of the time I hear many say tell others what your goal is, to make us accountable for it. This clip is very different but makes a lot of sense, to keep it to oneself and just make it happen. Which is good by me. Plus based on my observation most wealthy folks don’t share much of their inside goals just the general information. Maybe they know something we don’t.. Lol Glad I came by and thanks for sharing! Mahalo, Lani 🙂

It IS an interesting shift, isn’t it?
I was fascinated enough to give it a try …. must admit, it feels most empowering.
So glad you stopped by, dear heart!

Interesting observation about the wealthy folks, Lani.
We may be on to something here!

Great sage advice. I do think that sharing our dreams is important but the little steps and goals to getting there? Maybe they need to be like personal achievements. It is one thing to tell someone your goals and they are excited for you – and then you give up – but it is a whole other thing when you tell someone and you get ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE! That is so frustrating. This is definitely an interesting psychology. I will take it to heart.

Nicole, it’s been rather an awakening for me … especially regarding things that are so wildly creative (some say eccentric!) that they’re hard to explain anyway!

And when there’s no response – maybe it’s just ‘cos they’re utterly floored at your brilliance!

Aloha Jacqui,

Well isn’t that interesting? Thank you for sharing that Ted Talk.

I believe the real key is that we decide, really decide on the inside what we really want, then take action to achieve it, and then through the success of each step, we will start believing that we can do it.

Thank you for sharing! You are already a winner and I see you taking the steps! Congratulations!

Aloha,
Kellie 🙂

That makes perfect sense. It may be really hard not to get excited and tell everybody about your goals. However, I think it’ll be more fun to tell everybody the news if you have already achieved it. Thanks for sharing this!
