VESTA IS BECKONING –
WILL YOU TEND YOUR SACRED FLAME
WITH ME?
I have no idea yet what this will ignite.
I just know that it must be kindled.
I wrote that back in November 2019. It’s still unfolding, and every layer I uncover makes me gasp.
Like I mentioned back then, I have lessons and conversation-starters centered around:
- Sacred self-ownership
- Titanic feminism
- Anarchic domesticity
- Lavish focus
Part individual study
Part group coaching
All not what it seems
So far, the structure looks like this –
We begin with a Vestal flame ceremony on March 1st.
In her temple heyday, the Vestals would ritually extinguish the Sacred Flame, clean the hearth and temple floors, and then relight it.
We will do something similar,
each at our own metaphorical hearth, or linked by the gift of video.
(I’m not sure yet)
Every other week, I will share my thoughts on one of the four Flamma Vesta precepts mentioned above.
We will gather virtually for conversation on that topic a few days later.
(This honours the practice of gathering at the Temple of Vesta for discussions and networking.)
We will then have a week or so to implement what we’ve learned and uncovered, putting the precept into practice.
We will have a private Facebook group to continue our conversations and collaborations.
I intend this to be both a group program and a chance to get individual coaching from me. For that reason, I’m keeping the launch soft and the numbers limited.
We have to reclaim our hearths –
from the patriarchy, and from our mothers.
We are ready now –
to fan what was flickering, into a blaze.
Not to worship.
But to collaborate.

These days, the Vestal Temple is wherever there’s a stove or a candle and a willingness to see things in a different light.
When:
We begin on March 1st.
The FB group will open before that.
I anticipate we’ll work together for at least 8 weeks,
but not longer than 3 months.
